British Airways - Height Cuisine

As a champion of first class hospitality, British Airways is again delighted to sponsor the capital’s most revered culinary festival, Taste of London, in Regent’s Park from 21-24 June.

British Airways faces the daily challenge of serving food to 100,000 customers at 35,000 feet, and the change in environment can have a dramatic impact on the senses. That’s why this year, British Airways will be giving visitors another opportunity to learn more about ‘Height Cuisine’, the airline’s commitment to serving delicious dishes that work, even in the air.

To get a greater understanding of how to serve up a mouth-watering menu at altitude, Height Cuisine was developed by working closely with chefs, suppliers, nutritionists and cabin crew from around the globe. Discover how we apply what we’ve learned, meet the experts, take a masterclass, and get the chance to assume the role of ‘airline food and wine advisor’ by tasting potential dishes from future British Airways menus.

The airline will also be showcasing its 2012 summer menu, developed by Great Britons winner, Simon Hulstone. You’ll have the opportunity to sample some of Simon’s dishes – inspired by Britain’s culinary heritage and featuring local produce – before they take to the skies in July and August.
By presenting their card, British Airways Executive Club Gold and Silver members will be able to enjoy the luxurious Executive Club lounge.
